About Me
- Hi!
- My story
- What I love
- Things you should know
¡Hola! I’m Nati, your Spanish teacher.
I love connecting with people and making them feel confident and happy.
WHEN YOU FEEL POSITIVE AND CONFIDENT, LEARNING A LANGUAGE BECOMES AN UNFORGETTABLE JOURNEY THAT STAYS IN YOUR HEART FOREVER.
From a very young age, I’ve had a passion for learning about different cultures and people around the world. As a teenager, sending postal mail was still common (WHAT LOVELY TIMES THOSE WERE!), so I decided to send letters through a page called «Pen Friends of the World». That was the start of friendships I still cherish today…
My letters reached many countries...
And I had the wonderful opportunity to make many friends: Mona from the Philippines, Aina from Madagascar, Nilsa from the United States, Eva from Belgium, and Sandy from England. I was lucky enough to meet two of them in person: Eva and Sandy. With Sandy, we’ve developed a beautiful relationship, almost like family, that continues to this day.
In each package, I didn’t just send typical souvenirs from Argentina, but a piece of myself, my culture, and my heart. In every letter, in every word, my traditions, my way of thinking, and my values were reflected.
From that moment on...
I knew I wanted to be a language teacher and help people from different cultures communicate. That’s why I’ve been teaching English and Spanish for several years now.
Every time I meet a foreigner in my country, I feel an eager desire to help them, to chat with them, and to make them feel at home.
Nowadays, in my free time, I also volunteer with AFS, an organization that promotes intercultural exchange programs. My current role is as an advisor for foreign students who come to do exchanges in my city and as a coordinator of educational communities.
Things you should know
- I’m a native Spanish speaker from Argentina.
- I have over 5 years of experience teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
- I have over 15 years of experience teaching English.
- I’m a certified English Spanish translator.
- I have an intermediate level of Italian. My dad was Italian, so I’m a bit of an Italian!
- I’m a passionate learner and traveler.
- I’m a smiley person; I smile 90 percent of the time.
- I’m lively and talkative.
- I’m a serial hugger (and proud of it).
- I love Yoga, swimming and animals.
- I’m good at crafts.
Experiencies
Language is more than just words; it’s about building connections, sharing cultures, and creating unforgettable moments. Here, you’ll find stories of real friendships that started with the simple desire to learn a language and turned into lifelong bonds.
SANDY from the UK
I met Sandy about 15 years ago through a pen pal website. At the time, I wanted to practice my English and connect with people from all over the world. I contacted her because she was living in London, and I was a huge Harry Potter fan. From the very first letter we exchanged, we became inseparable. We were lucky enough to meet in person and spend both Christmas and New Year’s together. I had the chance to meet her family and her two children, which was the most exciting part. Maintaining a long-distance friendship for so many years is truly a beautiful experience!
EVA from Belgium
I met Eva through a pen pal website. She wanted to practice Spanish, and I, once again, wanted to learn about a different culture. From waffles to Tintin comics, our gifts were always very varied. In 2015, we had the chance to meet in Brussels, where we enjoyed waffles and also dined at a typical restaurant in Liège, her hometown. To this day, we still keep in touch, and we hope to meet again very soon (which will surely happen)!
ORLANDO from Italy
I’ve been volunteering with AFS for over a year, a nonprofit organization that offers intercultural learning experiences through study abroad programs. My first involvement with the organization was as Orlando's counselor, a 17-year-old student from Rome. My role was to provide guidance and support during his adaptation to life in Argentina, helping him with everything from settling into his host family to navigating daily life in a new culture. It was an incredibly rewarding experience, seeing Orlando grow and develop in such a short time. He returned to Rome in mid-January after his 6-month exchange, but we hope to meet again someday and share a mate together.

Disfruta!
